Three rules for the right last words in an email newsletter: email closings

The last lines in an email are a very important part of a sales pitch. Anything first and last is remembered. These are really peculiarities of human perception. And it is advisable to follow them if you want to get results in business.

Tips on how to complete such a text and what it should contain can be read in more detail in the publication at And we will tell you about three important rules for good communication, especially in the context of the final lines of an e-mail.

Write about yourself in the beginning, remind yourself in the middle, and end with your name

E-commerce and mailing letters with offer to buy or cooperate should always be individual and memorable. There is only one essential difference. It is the one that, as a rule, is not repeated under any circumstances – the name and surname of the author of the message. Therefore, the letter should include the first and last name in full at least once. It can be at the beginning. But better at the end of the letter.

Such designation will strengthen the remembering of the potential client. And the recipient of the message will not confuse the author with competitors offering to buy a house or buy a car of the same brand.

A person’s first and last name is always on everyone’s lips, and visually, such offers are even better remembered.

Communicate like professionals: familiarity is not an option.

Even if it’s already a one-year subscription and the recipient is a regular bite, you shouldn’t be familiar. You can only switch to a friendly footing under three conditions:

  • when there is a personal, non-work-related friendship between the customer and the order taker;
  • when there is constant and fruitful cooperation between the company and the recipient – large transactions with a high rhythm of their implementation;
  • the nature of the dialogue suggests such a trust-personal tone.

This is the exception to the rule. Usually, if it’s a business proposal and the e-mail ends with information for you to think about, it’s best to keep a relative coolness. To overdo the intimacy in such a letter is to fail. Personal and business are better not to be mixed into one relationship cocktail.

Such apparent coldness, in fact, always emphasizes seriousness of intentions and professionalism in the work. That’s why restraint and maintaining distance in statements and suggestions are important. Such statements only benefit both the sender and the potential client.
